Welcome to the Coalition of Family Physicians and Specialists of Ontario’s (COFPS) website – an independent and voluntary organization for all Ontario physicians. Since 1996, we have been protecting the rights of medical doctors and their patients by promoting sustainable healthcare practices that safeguard accessibility and the highest standards of medical care.
Healthcare in Ontario has changed dramatically over the past decade. Many changes have had a detrimental impact on the physicians who are on the front line of patient care. We’ve helped to mitigate some of that damage and avoid further harm to an already fragile healthcare system. However, today the challenges are greater than ever. We need your support to continue advocating for the rights of physicians, ensure that we are fairly compensated, and provide the public with the critical information they need on the standard of healthcare in our province.
